Oil Change & Georgia State Emissions Inspection

D.C. Auto offers two "Fast Oil" lanes to make oil changes and emissions inspections smooth and fast.

First, let's talk Georgia state emissions inspections.  We are a Georgia Clean Air Force certified inspection station and we utilize the latest equipment.  We'll also get you in and out fast.

Now, let's talk oil changes.  We view the oil change as a key process to keep your vehicle safe and dependable.  Why?

"Its not just an oil change!"

For most people, their car is their second largest asset.  That car's life blood is the oil, along with the other fluids that a car must have to operate (transmission, coolant, power steering, brake, differential, fuel system, etc.).  Changing the oil and oil filter regularly is vital.

But that's just the start.  The oil change is your trusted mechanic's opportunity to inspect your vehicle and keep you apprised of its condition.  Please, find a skilled and trusted mechanic and take your vehicle to him/her regularly.  We perform major repairs frequently on vehicles where the owner has scoped out the absolute cheapest oil change time after time...and no one has has a history on the vehicle...and no one cares about the vehicle.

Of course, we here at D.C. Auto want to be that trusted mechanic.  But, if not us, then find a good shop and go to it regularly.  Your car will be well-maintained, run reliably, and maintain its value.  We do not want you to end up stranded on the side of the road.

So the regular oil change is where it begins.  Our expert and experienced service technicians perform a thorough multi-point inspection of your vehicle and document it on a form we simply call the Inspection Sheet.  (See Inspection Sheet at sidebar right.)  Using this custom tool as a guide, we examine:

Factory recommended service intervals - (30k, 60k, 90k checkups), including timing belt

Visual check items - dash indicator lights, front and rear lights, air filter, cabin air filter, belts, hoses, battery, wipers, tires, brakes, etc.

Maintenance check items - washer fluid, transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, coolant, differential, fuel filter, etc.

Suspension and under vehicle check - Leaks, CV axles, shocks and struts, etc.

Once we performed the requested services and looked over your vehicle thoroughly, we sit down with you to review the status and condition of your vehicle.  We'll give you our honest assessment of what needs to be done, what should be done and when, and what can wait.  You'll have a peace of mind that you may have never experience before from an oil change.
