Meet the Owner

Tom Greathouse runs the day-to-day business operations - you'll meet Tom when you come in.  Tom is happily married to Cindy, a career real estate sales professional, and has a teenage daughter.  Tom lives in Johns Creek just a few minutes from the shop and has many friends in the area.  Tom is a gregarious fellow, so if you like having a friend at your auto shop, then D.C. Auto is for you!

One more thing:  You'll find that Tom values your trust and will do most anything in his power to earn that trust.  That's a big reason for our success.  We're not out to get one over on people; we're out to create life-long customers...and friends.

Who is D.C.?

Our business honors the legacy of D.C. Rushing, the grandfather of one of our owner's family. D.C. Rushing was about the best diesel mechanic you could find, if you lived around Vidalia, GA anytime from about 1940 to just recently - D.C. died in 2006 at the young age of 93. People would travel a hundred miles so that D.C. could fix what was broke...the first time. We also hope you won't mind that we used D.C.'s patriotic initials as part of our patriotic brand image. Our red, white and blue look purposely reflects another of our core beliefs: We believe in the good ole' U.S.A and the values the founding fathers so elequently expressed. God Bless America.

"D.C.'s Way"

(This "mission statement" hangs in our client waiting area)

At D.C. Auto, our core value is to operate with the utmost integrity. Here is how that translates to our business:

We will never perform work or try to sell you things you don't need or want. No high pressure tactics. In the long run we will lose business.

Instead, our approach is this: In addition to the services you ask us to perform, we will do our best to inspect your vehicle for safety, maintenance and factory-recommended service issues. We will then review the status of your vehicle with you and make recommendations about what needs to be done, what should be done and what can wait. With your permission, we will also send you reminders about those items to help keep your vehicle safe and dependable, and maintain its value.

However, please feel no obligation or pressure from D.C. Auto about any recommendations we make. It is your vehicle. We will not be hurt if you choose another shop to perform any work.

Make no mistake: we want to be your only source for your auto service and repair needs, including maintenance (oil, brakes, tires, battery, fluids, etc.), factory-recommended service (by mileage intervals), minor repairs (headlight, window motor, water pump, etc.), major repairs (engine or transmission overhaul) and performance and Aesthetic modifications. Our goal is to be your one-stop-shop for your vehicle, your family's vehicles, your in-law's vehicles, your neighbors' vehicles, your co-workers' vehicles and all other vehicles on the planet. (OK...not your in-law's.) We hope you'll give everyone a sterling recommendation about our shop.

We simply believe that you will come to value doing business with D.C. Auto as much as we value you as a client, and that our integrity, skill, competitive prices and other benefits we deliver will win the day. Please come back again and call us anytime if you need something...even if it's not in the ordinary course of business. We are here to help.

Thank you for your business. Please think of D.C. Auto for all your automotive service and repair needs.
